Sree Sastha College of Nursing was established in the year 2011 and run by the Chairman Prof. J. Kartheekeyan. It is a private college which is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college has been affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University. It has been recognised by UGC and has also been approved by the Nursing Council of India. The SSCN Chennai courses are offered to interested candidates at only the undergraduate level. There is only 1 course offered to the students at the college in the stream of nursing. All the courses at the college are offered in offline, regular mode to the students. The Sree Sastha College of Nursing admission to the course is offered on the basis of the candidate's performance in the last qualifying exam i.e. they must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the class 12 qualifying exam.

The prerequisite requirements must first be fulfilled by the applicants before they may get admission to the courses at SSCN Chennai. Candidates need to have received at least 50% of their possible points in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in their class 12 or equivalent test from a recognised board.
